Sick Leave Benefits

Employees in the following classifications are eligible to earn sick/personal time.

Full-time hourly

Part-time hourly (pro-rated)

Earned time is based on attendance. An employee earns eight (8) hours of sick/personal time if employee has no unexcused time in three (3) consecutive months. Eligible employees begin earning sick /personnel time from their date of hire.

Sick/personal leave benefits are calculated on the base rate at the time used. The base pay rate does not include any special forms of compensation, such as incentive, commissions, bonuses or shift differentials.

Sick/personal leave benefits will be allowed to accumulate for a period of one year from the date they were earned. Available time can be used in fifteen (15) minute increments.

You will not be paid monetarily for unused sick/personal leave benefits while you are employed and you will also not be paid for unused sick/personal leave benefits when your employment terminates.
